Writing for Fun

July 2013

On Thursday 25th July 2013, seven members gathered at my flat.
The subject this month was 'Hitch-hiking'. Once again we were amazed at the different ways it was possible to approach one simple topic. We went from a muddy Cotswold field to an Airbus plane; from a long trek in the West Country to an Alfa Romeo in Naples; from a Moscow subway to a small town in the USA; to a desperate bid to survive.
We were pleased to welcome a potential new member, Vivian Burdon. Her story was atmospheric and delightful and we all hope that she enjoyed the meeting and that we shall see her again next month.
