Writing for Fun

July 2010

On Thursday 22nd July 2010 seven members met up and read our stories about 'Balloons'.

It is surprising that, although a familiar vein ran through some of them, each was unique in its charm and style and was equally delightful to share.

But, where can a balloon take you?

We went La Belle France, we went to the Cotswolds, we went to Margate (but we were denied the Taj Mahal!)

We soared with seagulls and watched Phileas Fogg set off on his adventures.

We floated with Pooh Bear in his honey tree and were put into Eyore's 'useful pot for putting things in.'

We were pink, red (and also blue - typo!), but mostly yellow.

Another great meeting, with lively discussion to follow - and then we were even treated to prize winning Limericks!

Just another Writing for Fun group meeting!
