Spooky - Diane Silverston

Sinister silence in the stillness of the room, causing curious sensations throughout your body, creating a nervous tension in your mind.

Points and angles disappearing beneath and behind blocked out light and into unrecognised, unreadable dark recesses.

Ordinary everyday objects changing shape in the gloomy shadows, creeping in from every corner. Normal things becoming abnormal with mysterious indistinct moving edges.

Obscured normality in the ever changing glimpses and glimmers of shimmering whiteness as the moon passes through the clouds and peeps in at the window.

Knowing and feeling that there is an unexplained presence, near and around you. Icy chills come and go, filling you with dread.

Yearning for the daylight and morning, and the return of the room to what you expect to be there.
