Silver Lady - Diane Silverston

June 2013

Silver Girl, you were mine to have and hold,
Until our eyes grew dim, our hearts grew cold,
Until the blood in our veins turned to water,
My love for you would never falter.

You were my love and my desire,
You set my mind and heart on fire.
Silver Girl you were my joy, my life.
You had hoped to become my wife.

But then fate came, and broke that hope.
I had to leave you alone to cope,
No final words, no goodbyes spoken,
By yourself, in despair, heartbroken.

Silver Girl, be calm, and strengthen your will,
In your mind and heart, I'm with you still.
