They say a picture is worth a thousand words,
at least I think that's what I've heard.
But suppose the figure is less or more;
would this make the masses roar?
'Not a chance' you may well say,
nothing will change, come what may.
But, pause a while; try to think;
would a change in numbers cause a stink?
From ancient times till Hogarth's Rake,
could a few digits a difference make?
But still, I think, we must all agree,
Many pictures are a sight to see.
With modern shapes, all so trendy
or older efforts with curves most bendy.
Whether pencil, print, film or digital,
mankind has come to love them all.
And, just imagine, a pictureless Tabloid;
how many pages would that leave void?
